The Annual Fund consists of gifts raised throughout the year to support the current operations of CHCS. These gifts will be used to enhance the overall experience of every student and equip our teachers with the best educational tools. In particular, your investment will support all areas of the school: the academic program, facility and classroom enhancements, added technology, professional development for the teachers and much more.

What is the Annual Fund?
The Chapel Hill Christian School Annual Fund for Excellence consists of gifts raised annually to support the current operations of CHCS that are not covered by tuition. Like other private schools, CHCS uses gifts as an important tool to help keep tuition affordable and to enhance your children’s educational experience. Your investment supports all areas of the school: the academic program, facility and classroom enhancements, added technology, professional development for the teachers and much more.
Who is asked for gifts?
The Chapel Hill Christian School Annual Fund for Excellence seeks support from current and past parents, grandparents, friends, and outside donors (including foundations and corporations), as well as from teachers and staff. Every gift matters.
How much should I give?
What you give is entirely up to you. Gifts of all sizes are important and appreciated!
Why not raise tuition instead of asking for support?
Rather than raise tuition and place a greater financial burden on the parents alone, we have an opportunity for the entire community to invest in a brighter future for our children. Our hope is that parents, friends, teachers and outside donors will make a tax-deductible contribution to the Annual Fund in order to maintain the superior quality of education for every child.
If my family receives financial aid and I donate to the Annual Fund, will it affect my aid?
No. There is no correlation. 100% family participation is the goal.
Why is participation so important?
All gifts to the Chapel Hill Christian School Annual Fund for Excellence are important. In addition, many outside foundations and corporations look at the rate of participation when making funding decisions; a higher number of gifts is a sign of confidence in the school.
What is a matching gift?
Many companies will match charitable contributions by their employees. The company helps to support worthy causes and the employee can maximize the amount donated to the charity. Many CHCS parents work for matching gift companies… please check with your human resources department to see if they will match your gift.
What more do I need to know?
A successful Annual Fund, supported by a large percentage of the CHCS community, directly contributes to the educational experience here at Chapel Hill Christian School. It also reflects the pride in the school and our belief in the education our school provides.
